Harlow and District Scouts were founded in 1910 and have been supporting Scouting for over 100 years. The district covers the town of Harlow in Essex and the local villages of Nazing and Roydon.
Catering for young people aged from 6 through to 25 we have groups for everyone. At the age of 6 children can join one of our beaver colonies. At the age of 8 they transfer to a Cub pack.
The children remain in their Cub pack until 10½ before transferring to one of our Scout groups.
Once they reach the age of 14 they are then welcome to join our Explorer unit. At the age of 17 the young people can start their Young Leader training to prepare them for leading their own scout groups.
Harlow District Scout groups welcome both boys and girls from all walks of life. For more information please contact one of our groups who will be happy to assist.
The district has an active Events Team who are responsible for organising a full and varied events program for the district groups through out the year. For details of our District events please check out the Events page.
